Several photos of my mom and dad have been posted. Thanks to my brother, Gary, who scanned them in, made a cd and sent it to me. I hope you enjoy re-living the memories with me. Some were a long, long time ago…best parents anyone could ask for. They ALWAYS believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Love and miss you both mom and dad.
Well, dad’s fight with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease came to a close this past Tuesday morning, December 30, 2014, at 12:08AM. When I went up to see him on Christmas Day, what I saw, I wasn’t prepared for. Nonetheless, there he was, lethargic, refused food since the 23rd and probably felt like everyone had given up on him, but that wasn’t the case. He could not understand that there were visiting hours and we could only see him 1.5 hours on four days of the week.
I told Denise that I didn’t think he would last through the week and sure enough, I was right. I talked to the nurse about Hospice and they told me that they would have him evaluated. As of Friday, they said no, but by Saturday, they told me his kidneys were failing and his body had become septic. Please pray for our family as we have the services this Saturday, January 3, 2015. May God bless each and everyone is my prayer.
